Privacy Policy
This page explains what WheelFit keeps on your device, what reaches our server, and when Google Gemini may process an input.
Guest mode
Guest mode keeps vehicles, wheel setups, calculations, comparisons, and drafts on your device. You do not need an account to run the fitment engine. Removing the app may remove this local data.
Accounts and sync
If you create an account, WheelFit receives your email address, optional display name, and the vehicles, setups, calculations, and comparisons you choose to save. Authentication tokens are kept in the iOS Keychain. Account data is used to provide sync, history, account management, and share links.
Listings and photos
WheelFit parses pasted listing text locally first. When required values remain missing, the text may be sent through WheelFit's server to Google Gemini for extraction.
Photo text recognition and deterministic parsing run on your device first. If required values are still missing, WheelFit asks before sending recognized text and a downsampled, metadata-free JPEG to the server and Google Gemini. WheelFit does not retain the image. Google processes submitted text or images under the Gemini service terms configured for WheelFit.
Sharing
If you create a share link, anyone who has that link can view the vehicle setup and result included in it. Your email address, password, and account profile are not included.
Operations and security
Our hosting provider and reverse proxy may record limited request information such as an IP address, route, timestamp, and response status for security and reliability. WheelFit does not include an advertising or cross-app tracking SDK.
Apple MetricKit may provide WheelFit with an anonymous crash or hang diagnostic after the app is opened again. The report includes Apple-generated technical crash data, app and build version, iOS version, and device class. It does not include your email address, account identifier, vehicle, setup, photo, or free-form content, and it is not linked to your account. We use it only to diagnose reliability problems.
Retention and deletion
Server account data remains until you remove individual records or delete the account. Choose Delete account and all data in WheelFit settings to remove the account and its stored vehicles, setups, calculations, and comparisons. Share links created by that account are removed with their saved setup.
Anonymous diagnostic reports are deleted after 90 days.
